About us.
Our Mission
Since 1981, Christian Prison Ministry of Mid-America has been bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are incarcerated. Our goal is to present the gospel in a way that is clear and understandable so as to teach God's word through life-changing scripture. To spread hope and spiritual growth through evangelism, edification, and the presentation of Christ's abundant love. We believe that sharing the gospel will bring forth a new future in Christ for all who are willing to accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
WHAT WE DO
Evangelize.
We conduct vibrant and relevant Bible studies and worship services inside prisons and correctional centers in over five states. Upon request, we baptize and have cell-to-cell prayer. As prisoners are exposed to new hope in Jesus Christ, the culture inside prison walls changes as well.
Encourage.
Most prisoners—as many as 92% of all incarcerated individuals—will be released back to society at some point, and 75% of them will return to prison within three years. We address this problem with an approach that focuses on their spiritual, physical, and tangible needs.
Equip.
We provide the tools and resources necessary to make the re-entry process successful. Some of the programs we offer are:
Financial Peace University
Anger Management Program
Pathways to Change
Inside-Outs Dads
Celebrate Recovery
Employability Skills
Vocational Training
Chronically-ill & Geriatric Ministry
Story Link Program
Worship Services
Bible Studies
